I also don't like how if you set a yearly budget for something, month-to-month it only ever accounts for ÷ 12. The budget I currently have going is not envelope, and it only factors in expenses so, as best I can tell, in a given month if I were to budget $1000, but spend $1500, and also win $1,000,000, it would still think I went over budget? I only really care about net, so that's not really helping me very much. I have tried both envelope and non-envelope, and they're both weird. As others have said, the way they do it makes very little sense. But…I figured since they have budgeting in there I'd give it a shot, if only to affirm my mental math. My finances are pretty simple, and I can budget well enough in my head for savings to hit my goals.
I switched to Banktivity ~6 months ago, and didn't have much interest in budgeting.
